python3 -m neatv devices sony
python3 -m neatv plan examples/xiaomi-mi-tv-4a/debloat.txt --json

Before you begin
A little preparation. The choices stay yours.
Record the full model and firmware from About. Review its device notes before operating. The same brand does not mean the same procedure.
Find device references ›Find the TV’s IP in network settings. Connect the phone or computer to the same LAN. Some guest networks isolate devices; use a network that lets them communicate.
Use normal developer or debugging settings, and approve the connection on the TV. If no documented entry exists, stop. Do not enter factory menus or bypass restrictions.
Save backups and the original list. Decide what to keep: live TV, HDMI, casting and voice. Check those features afterwards, close debugging and revoke authorisations.
A little more to know
Samsung Tizen and LG webOS cannot install Android launchers. The manual privacy guide does not imply GenTV support.
No. This site provides references, downloads and prompts. It does not connect to TV ADB. Computer operations require the full local project and tools that can execute commands. Install the phone preview separately to connect from a phone.
It depends on the components you choose to disable. Confirm what to keep first. Do not turn off every preinstalled app. Afterwards, use the real remote to check live TV, HDMI, casting and voice; restore from the record if something changes.
The phone app helps install GenTV Home and provides organisation, remote control, file transfer, cleanup and restore. Keep both devices on the same local network and follow connection and authorisation steps. Support varies by system and firmware.
Follow your TV system’s prompts to install and set the default Home. Home-button, standby and reboot behaviour can vary by model and firmware; verify each using the installation guide.
Computer cleanup reuses Android’s disable operation, without uninstalling system packages. Recovery records cover recorded changes, not a full system image.
No. Cleanup targets identified preloads and recommendation components. It does not guarantee removal of ads inside video apps. Replacement-home features depend on the actual version.
Connect to your TV, install and organise GenTV Home, use directional or touch control, type text, transfer files, and manage cleanup and restore. See the downloaded version’s notes for requirements and supported devices.
Keep the original list in the same folder and use tools/restore.sh or restore.ps1. Do not indiscriminately enable every system package. Phone-format backups cannot yet be passed directly to the computer restore scripts.
No. Turn off USB, network and wireless debugging after finishing, revoke authorisations, and check ports as documented. Closing the phone app does not turn off TV debugging.
These references come from the upstream community, not GenTV real-device certification. Check the full model, region, system and firmware. Replacement-home capabilities require separate verification.
